The Rolex Air-King ref. 5500, produced from 1957 to 1989, is often regarded as one of the most straightforward vintage Rolex models available. With its simple design—no flashy bezel, complications, or special features—it remains a true embodiment of Rolex’s minimalist approach to watchmaking.We love the font used on these and in this case we have a rare version of this pretty common Rolex ! Our example has  stainless steel case and bracelet and features a rare and desirable champagne tone dial with Banoco logo. Banoco was the Bahrain National Oil Company and these specially applied dials were made for Banoco, and were subsequently presented to employees as gifts for outstanding service. The oyster bracelet ref 78350 is in nice condition with endlinks marked 557 and a clasp stamped 'h'.The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.

This is a rare logo dial, and it certainly deserves a place in a fine collection!
